Spring Colors

Spring has always been my least favorite of seasons but I have been making effort to take short walks on regular basis lately and have come to appreciate the season’s ephemeralness of vibrant colors in nature and warmer tint of sunlight.

Gardening Season Begins

Spring came here so early that I didn’t even have a chance to wish away rain but I’m looking forward to having garden full of veggies and fruits this summer! I’m most excited about Japanese pear tree is flowering.

Lucian loves the kale that survived winter, he also sang a song at the dormant artichoke so that it’ll comeback this year — hilarious!

Magnolia Tree

Huge magnolia tree in the neighborhood. I never noticed how beautiful magnolia trees were until just a few years ago when I suddenly found myself in awe of their magnificence.

Lazy Sunday

Post breakfast scene on a lazy sunday. We should have more slow days like this.

Our neighbor gave us all this firewood! We had meant to get a cord (…or half) of wood for the winter since we love making fire for warmth but never got around to it and had been getting tiny over-priced bundles at grocery store — I’m overjoyed! Some of the tree stumps that haven’t been split yet, I’m thinking of making stools/side-table with them.
